Pin-Up Girl Clothing

So, today's update will be about vintage 1940's style clothing, pin-up style. One amazing site, probably the best, for it is Pin-Up Girl Clothing. In fact, one of my style icons is a model for them. Her name is Doris MayDay (I believe her real name is Ashley, though). She's more on the plus size side, super curvy (especially with the corset) and very blonde. She actually looks a bit like Marilyn Monroe. I believe she's actually just dyed her hair red... now she looks just like Joan from Mad Men!

Dixiefried's new line has been previewed on the site's Facebook, and let me tell you, it's amazing! Here's some items...

(Modeled by Doris MayDay) Green is my favorite color, so I instantly fell in love with this dress. I love how much it shows off your curves, although that could just be the corset. The belt gives great waist definition and I love how it kind of swoops out at the knees so you can actually move in it. It also comes in pink and black, all look amazing, but I'm always more drawn to green.

This dress also comes in blue & white and green & black. I love the neckline and the slit with buttons. Very sexy, yet still classy. The mix of the neutral tone with the bright red is great! The blue & white one is very sailor-looking, which I love as well.

Also on their Facebook is a preview of the 2010 Spring PinUp Couture. Here's some items...

This is PinUp Couture's Ava dress, coming in March 2010. Also comes in green, but I think I like the blue better. This is a gorgeous cocktail dress, I'm absolutely in love with it!

This is the Joanie dress, actually inspired by Joan from Mad Men. It comes in orange, brown, and pink as well. Before I even looked at the name I was like "Joan?", she's my favorite character from the show, so I'm in love with this. Very cute.

There's tons more on their Facebook that I just don't have the time to post, so I'll leave the link for their page (click here). It's an absolutely amazing site for pin-up style clothing. I believe most dresses can go up to a 2x, so it's plus size friendly!
